The shorty and skinny of it is Teams of 4 arm themselves with a napkin, a pen, a voting sheet provided by BurgerTourNYC and a an insatiable appetite for burgers.

Why is this different and a BETTER-Burger tour?

1. The judges are real people, with real feelings.

2. Only true Burgers are included. None of the fancy-shmancy stuff that you aren’t going to enjoy because you had to max out your Amex Black Card

3. Its social and you might “meat” the love of your life.

Uh, where are we going?

Since there are so many amazing burger joints on this lil island and its boro-thers, we are going to pick 5-6 places per neighborhood, the first being the East and West Village.

The first candidates will be picked based on previous reviews, and the infallible opinions of the BurgerBoard, which for the time being are Dion and Scott, but for future dates we will be appointing new members depending on how successful the tour is.

Which burger places classify?

1. Geographic Location per contest

2. The stock burger is under $10 ($11 w/ cheese)

3. The venue serves Frosty beverages, we don’t want anyone choking!

4. The place has been ranked at some point by New York Magazine, Time Out, etc.

I can’t eat 6 burgers in a couple hours, thats crazy!

Quarters People! Not entire burgers!

While this sounds amazing, in reality we know you can’t eat 6 burgers. Think of this like a wine tasting, you are just sampling the burgers but you don’t spit it out. You will choose a team of who shares your taste for condiments, you will reflect your preferences and then you will be hit the town with them.

Once you arrive at each place, each burger will have your team name on it and will be cut into square of 4. You should figure about 30 minutes per place, which should give you plenty of time to rank your burger!

How do I Rank my Beef?

Each burger will be graded on 4 components on a scale of 1-10

1. The Patty – 1-10

2. The Bun 1-5

3. The X-Factor (Special Sauce, Pickles) 1-5

4. Hunger Handicap -  Since the hungrier you are, the better the burger tastes, we will award extra points to each progressive burger.

Decorations don’t count. Just the burger folks.

How much does it cost?

Your “Fatty” Meal with your donation will cost you $25.00. This includes the cost of the burger, you are on your own for beverages.

In addition any profits made will be donated to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
